Hello altogether!
Here a first thread to briefly introduce myself. My name is Erwin, 52 years old and originally I am Dutch. In 2004 I emigrated to Switzerland where I live & work since then. In the meantime marked with an Argentine
and together we have twins - a boy & girl.
After many different cars I started about 24 months ago to look into a Land Cruiser as next car after a BMW X3. Long story short: In January 23 I ordered a new Land Cruiser 150 / Prado 2.8 diesel which was with 3 months delay finally delivered to me end of September. It is the equivalent of the Kakadu model, called Invincible here. Since it is one of last ones delivered it came as a 'Matt Black Edition' in metallic blue with black accents all around. Also the upholstery is bi-color leather.
First 600kms are made, still running in. I like the car a lot and it offers a lot of space for the family and whatever you want to take with you. Different driving experience to the Beemer but it feels good. Very comfortable and it does give the impression to be virtually indestructible.
Modification planned are 6mm alu bottom protection plates and A/T tires. The tires come next week, I decided to order Pirelli AT+ tires one size bigger as standard on the original rims: 265/54 R18. On road and snow performance are also important to me and legally you need to 3 mountain peaks symbol to drive under wintery conditions.
Done already is the 'installation' of an UltraGauge. Another small comfort upgrade was the installation of a WiFi Dongle for wireless CarPlay. Works great!
First question to the Forum members here is around the Ultra Gauge: Does anybody maybe has working codes around the DPF of the Land Cruiser 150 or HiLux with the 2.8 diesel? It seems Toyota changed a couple of things and finally I got the tranny temperature and torque converter temperature working but it was not easy. DPF related gauges show 'error'. If anybody could share codes around the DPF would that be great!
Another wish would be the engine oil temperature. No clue if there is actually information about this available on the OBD?
Thank you in advance! I will try to upload some pictures!
