No disrespect

Man, I was reading that last post and really happy until the end! :D

Would you believe some people love that smell so much they use it as a furniture polish?

I love the stuff and spread the word when ever I can! Just got a sensitive nose, I guess!? :D

I'll be stickin' to pledge, though; no disrespect!

How long does the stuff last on the exposed areas of the frame and what not? you know where it is open to the elements?

From what I've seen, all winter. This is my second winter running the stuff. I don't drive it every day as I walk to class 5 days a week, but it stays on there until the spring, which in the northeast is *realistically* April.

Yeah, even if it rains a lot and certain areas appear to have washed away, it seems to still protect. I guess it penetrates well. I spray FF in the fall and then use a degreaser in the spring to remove everything and then reapply. It's a keeper IMHO.

My FJ55 is my DD now and she's super clean and practically rust free :D

First year I have had my cruiser on the streets of NYC in winter (read: salt hell).

Bought a case of the Fluid Film. I thought it was easy, although messy, to apply. Covered everything underneath, coated interior of doors, what I could reach on front fenders, and interior of rear fenders. Even coated lower body panels and rain gutters on roof. Too early to tell how it work over time but it is still very much on the metal, even after numerous washes, snowy weather, etc.

The condensation on rear windows when you have a few people in the 62 has always driven me crazy. I have been thinking about adding a rear SIDE window defroster to help:

Waxoyl and Rust Fighter

A decade or so ago, having read all the Brit resto mags, I went looking for Waxoyl and found the 3M 'equivalent', called Rust Fighter 1.
Sprayed the bejeezuz out of a car that's historically prone to rust, (bmw 2002) and a decade of sitting out in the rain later, everywhere I sprayed hasn't rusted. Found the places I hadn't a couple of years ago, tho!
Anyway, generically, 'body cavity waxes' are worth the effort, i think...

my '02,
