I'm talking with Lisa, aka MTGIRL from TacomaWorld.com, about possibly doing a Xmas Tree Run / Meet and GREET on Sunday after Thanksgiving. She's in the Bozeman area and drives a T4R.
If snow actually shows up we could do some sledding. Otherwise without snow hopefully the FS keeps trails open.
If you're interested let me know! More details to come as we figure out who's going to come, etc.
Edit: Lisa is thinking of a place near Ennis. Says there was a clear cut there years ago so lots of little trees. Last year the trail was still open the weekend after Turkey day too.
UPDATE: Ride Report:
@Saul Abel, myself, and a TacomaWorld.com member went out Xmas tree hunting today (11/27/16) as planned through this thread. Ended up being a great day for a drive. Beautiful scenery! So glad I went!
Learned of a new place to go drive, hike, and camp for next summer. Lisa says the forest service closes off this road system next week and doesn't normally re-open it to vehicles until JULY due to snow levels each year. So we were very fortunate she invited us to go this trip this weekend!
