I just had a set of these made, and I really liked the OEM look and quality. I have the ability to produce these for anyone who would like a set.

Just trying to guage interest at this point, then will move into making some if there's a demand.

I can get them made in any length for any of the 40 series jump seats. I could even get the metal pieces in OE grey / green(ish) color. And yes, I can get the eyelets installed for the mounting hole if needed.

Let me know...

I'm not sure if posting a price is ok to do in this forum. But I would sell them at $19.95 for a set. So I guess the real question would be would you be interested in these at $19.95 per pair?

I've been making these for years and charge $24 a set with free shipping. They are a genuine pain in the ass to make. Never found the grey HW though. That is cool. I hate making them. :crybaby:

I'm about out of material to make these and don't plan to make any more except for my own projects - hurts my hands! You make em, I'll buy yours!
:)

Forgot to mention, I can get the cotton strapping material in Olive Drab color as well.

I made some out of a set of GI suspenders from a surplus store + the eyelet bezels from the hardware store. Total cost was $1.00 for the GI suspenders and $2.00 for the bezels and a buck for the eyelets. Color is olive drab and the end protector is black...std GI issue. Just removed the dot eyelet and put the twist type bezel in it's place. Function just fine and total cost was $4.00. If I was going for a 'perfect restoration' I'd be interested, but I favor function over cosmetics.

I would buy a pair for sure for $20 bones, I don't even have jump seats but on my next rebuild that is going to be a complete 40 restore. I try to snatch up unique parts like this whenever possible. I would say to please make them as close as to stock colors as possible, nylon color, etc. I don't think the metal part being beige is a huge deal.

Both sets look nice.

I'm interested, with the eyelets for the mounting hole.

Are you near Gresham, Oregon by any chance?

I would be interested as well - especially if they come with the turn clip that is attached to the seat.

Turn clip

Wouldnt have the turn clip, but I'm sure I could add it for a small fee.

Brian, I'm in Salem...

has anyone bought OEM ones recently? I would be interested to see what the CDan price is on those. Hard not to go with OEM when if they are still available.

new OEM straps from the dealer are around $10 each.........why make them? unless using a material that will last longer and not sun rot...which makes sense

Well I guess the dealer is the way to go on these then. Had no idea they were that cheap seeing SOR sells them for $30+ EACH...

EDIT*** Just got off the phone with Capitol Toyota here in Salem OR. They are not 10 bucks... They are $34.19 EACH...

So I guess my offer is still on the table. $20.00 vs $70.00

These straps are treated with a weather resistent coating which will make them last for years. Not weather proof, but I imagine same or better than OEM.

I found that if you have an old Cruiser with the SHORT straps (pre 73 I think) the cost of the straps is half of what the newer longer straps cost.

Not sure why?

Strange... Good info to know tho...

must be year differences, I got em for an 82 and they had to be $10 or less

yours sounds like a good product, but I am guessing there are many different sizes

jUMPSEAT STRAPS

I have always bought mine from Greg Overton and could not be happier with the quality. If in fact he is not going to produce them anymore (hope this is not the case) then I will be in for several sets. Are you ready to take orders now??
