Interest in Jumpseat Straps

Sorry guys I'm no longer making these... Perhaps I can look into it again, its been a while. But I do know that Cruisercorps, and CCOT make them at a reasonable price.

Where did you source the end caps? I can find the brass grommet and the twist lock eyelet, but can't track down the ends... Any help is appreciated!

@ginmtb Look up the correct name

They are called webbing tips... The oe ones are called webbing horseshoe tips

Military uses webbing ball tips... These are cheap... But hard to attach imo OCD
The webbing belt tips or flat tips are like you see on belts

Q: I don't see pics of Greeks straps in the thread ...

@thecrazygreek were you able to source colored hardwear? Did you paint yours? Were they black or chrome or nickle plated brass or brass ?

Thanks for the edumacation @JohnnyC - apparently these are not easy to find, but doing a search on "webbing horseshoe tips" gives me some good advice for how to play horseshoes...

I'd be willing to take this on if @thecrazygreek doesn't want to make them again. But need help sourcing the horseshoe webbing tips and getting the correct OE color strapping.

I hate trying to find vintage looking hardware - in this case , may be easier to buy brass channel and make a hammer die to do the shape...

I've found a source for the end tips (actually @JohnnyC did) so we are good there. Just waiting on some samples of cotton webbing to see about color. Should be good to go after that!

@ginmtb did you ever dial in the jump seat straps? If so would love to see a picture. Trying to track down an OEM looking set, OD green straps with the correct grey strap tips/hardware.

I never followed through on this project sorry. Couldn’t find webbing that matched very well.

Measures 13 3/4" end to end

Jump Seat Strap- 11.5" Long- 9/73-4/78- TOYOTA
Measures 11.5" end to end

Jump Seat Strap- 10.5" Long- 58-9/73- TOYOTA
Measures 10.5" end to end

Yes I just found this info from SOR’s site:

Strap lengths (eye to eye)

1958-9/73 : 7.5”

9/73-4/78 : 8.75”

4/78-1984 : 11”
