Intake air connector issue (2 Viewers)

There is a front plastic cover on the air intake connector that completely popped off the other day, I'm not sure what this is for.

I was getting running lean codes randomly before and I believe this was loose and the culprit, struggling to start when truck was hot.

I've tapped it back on for now, but there a way to reattach this properly? The part online is looking around $500 which is crazy, can I just glue it back on?

Its just an intake noise silencer, you can glue it no problem.
