Yes, it is. I do not think it can be explained exactly. I can tell you that I have moved (a good distance) to places where I did not know a soul twice. It forces you to self examine. It also confirms to yourself what you are made of.

Even, like in Al's case, when you return to a familiar area it takes a lot to pick up your life and move. The vast majority of Americans live within 50 miles of where they were born.

Was I??? must have just been a coincidence :)

This really wasn't even a thought until about mid April, then just snowballed from then when all signs pointed towards it just being a better place for us with what we wanted to do right now.


I completely agree that moving is good for the soul for all the reasons you posted it's also hard on the nerves though if you like where you currently are :doh:

Well the good things about the jobs we are going after is they are easily transferable. Mine means I will need to be fairly close to a big city for the commercial side of it.

Occupational Therapy is in huge demand everywhere and most websites say that graduates typically have 6-10 job offers upon graduating.

But even then I typically made it to pismo 6-8 times a year and morrow/san simeon at least every other year. Got a good friend who lives about as close to Morrow Rock as you can get.

Count me in on this one. If there are any particulars you find you crave/miss, let me know. I spend some time at a bar with a great bottle selection.

Congrats on the move. Where it is moving is good for the soul, I don't envy your task. Packing alone is reason to keep a dirty soul.
