A time line without the 60series, is the wrong time. You're going to have to figure out who stole the DeLorean and when they went back to.

Surely, if there were no 60, I would opt for any other Landcruiser BJ70, HZJ76, HZJ105, HDJ80, HDJ100 ... but if the question is directed to another vehicle than Toyota, I would not hesitate and choose a AMC Grang Wagonner...

Another series Land Cruiser, of course. However, if Toyota were the Japanese version of Yugo and made POS cars, I would be rocking the '70 Blazer on the build list in my signature.
If no 60, then a Nissan Patrol GQ.

70 or 80 series... More specifically probably a 76 4dr wagon (short wagon) or an FZJ80.
A Y60 / GQ Safari is the only equivalent vehicle, I've always been keen on 110s though so one of the Australian army ones with the beefed up chassis and Isuzu turbo motor would probably do the trick also...
Either a fullsize bronco with a 7.3 power stroke conversion, or an hdj80. Either one would be cool as hell!
A nice Iron Pig (FJ55) with AC and Power Steering would fit the bill.

I have to say my 100 has been a great truck. It lacks the charisma of the older Cruisers but in terms of performance it is as good or better than the 60.

Patrol is equivalent??? I can count the amount of GQ's left in the wild I've seen in the last year on one hand, up the top end I didn't see one patrol the whole time I was there.
