Idler pulley

Or just don't run an idler pulley? Pulled my loud one off with the intent of replacing the bearing and just never put it back on. Been 6 or 7 years now. :meh:

For the alternator side, agree, really don't see the point of it. The only usefulness I can see is making noise with cogged belts, pitch it in the recycle, replace the bolt with a shorter one and run whatever belts are available.

The A/C idler adjusts belt tension and is the one that can have the bearing replaced.
