I’m switching back to factory carburetor from Weber. I never had a solenoid hooked up as long as I have owned it. Yes when you put voltage to it it clicks, as in a thread I read, Question: I found a lone wire in a lume by the brake wires on the master cylinder. With the key in ACC position no light comes on with tester, in the ON position the light is on continuous, than back to ACC it’s shuts off and in OFF position it’s off. Not sure what the wire was for but can I use it or should I run a new one to fuse box. Thanks, motor is an early 77 -2F

Here’s a couple pics.

It might be the same circuit, but, a BY by the booster goes to the voltage regulator. I don't know about that year of regulator connections, but I think that my '75 has a single connector, IIRC. I tapped into my idle solenoid about where the harness goes behind the radio. Does your alternator have a single wire, or also a connector?

@Coolerman would have the definitive answer, but IIRC, the wire for the ICS on the ‘77 was bundled with the brake mc safety switches. Small semicircle bracket on carb for the connector to rest in.

Got things figured out , all is well and now doing some fine tuning. 4.2 running rich.... Puffing some black smoke from exhaust. Monday objective.

Is it one of those Chinese knock offs?

Yep... Didn’t have the money to buy one. Than I found a site that had remanufactured one for 250.00 I’m not sure where I’d have to did it up. And the original one I have is for a 75-76 I think. So, long story story short, I’d bit on a 95 dollar carburetor from Amazon and to my luck so far it’s working. If it dies will will opt for that 250 carburetor. (CruiserParts.net)
