Been having a rough idle lately. Took this off to give it a cleaning… is that spring suppose to spring or should it feel stuck? It’s a 1992 btw. 3FE.

Its a servo motor with 150 descrete positions, as a guess I'd say it would feel stuck.
See your FSM SF-section for specific instructions on diagnosing the IAC.
 
Yeah. When I first crank her up in the morning, she runs like a sewing machine… once I get to operating temp and get to a stop light… she starts searching for her idling position. Already changed: MAF/Alternator/points/plugs… IAC is just my next stop.

Idle air control valve, 22270-66011, for the 1995 through 1997 Land Cruiser and 1996 through 1997 LX450, is in stock in the US warehouses. It's really expensive, though.

@slow95z probably has a used one lying around.

If you can't stand a used one, email Dave Stedman at Japan4x4. He can get it cheaper tha n the US dealers.
