First pic is of this 2 inch circular object appears to be screwed into side of block, it’s next to the dipstick, and slightly behind starter motor. It has two wires to it…..I’m not sure if it’s a genuine bit.
Second pic is of a relay of some kind….too rusty to see any numbers, this sits behind battery front wing.

Excellent thanks …just ordered one as it’s over 30 yrs old. As for the other item, after a process of elimination it would appear to be a starter relay assembly.
 
A bit more removed…working to get the steering box off. The hose unions are very tight, but with a bit of heat they have loosened, as has the 32mm nut holding the arm for steering linkage.

When you put it back on make sure you don't accidentally connect the oil gauge signal wire to the senders ground post. If you ground the gauge the needle will swing past its limits and damage the gauge
