Have the attached visually ‘wet’ area on the driveshaft going from the transfer case to the front axle. What could this be caused by and how can it be fixed, if not normal?

Nothing dripping and could just be excess grease but just spotted this so not sure if it’s supposed to be that way.

Grab a rag and wipe some off and see if it's grease or oil or what not. It's possible it was over-greased and a bunch was pushed out and slung around. It seems more liquid-y and even than I'd expect for grease but maybe it didn't leak out until it got warm and thinner?

Might want to lay underneath with a flashlight and check what's above and around that spot. This doesn't exactly seem like a spot where I'd expect something to drip onto it.
