Helping my girlfriend move Friday afternoon and a kid in a Tahoe turns right out in front of me. Hit him doing about 40. Radiator is gone, motor mounts ripped, hole in the oil pan, and CV axles bent. Damnit....just got the truck less than 2 months ago. Atleast nobody was hurt. I am a little bruised up from slamming my legs into the dash. Still waiting to hear back from the insurance company but I am sure it is done. 99 with 198k on it, 4wd with cloth seats. Airbags did not go off. It was nice getting decent gas mileage for a while.

Sadly this was the last load of stuff and was all the breakables. Every lamp, picture frame, glass shelf, and table was in there and is broken.

Oh man that sucks, glad to hear that everyone was ok.
I hope the insurance can help cover the broken household items.

DANG mooker, that sucks. Glad you and your girl are well. At least it wasnt the 40 or bronco.

Hope it all works out well and they treat you fairly.

Thanks everyone. Already frustrated with dealing with their insurance. First offer is $2900. I declined. Seems comprable ones are atleast $5-$6k. Luckily I bought this one for $2500 as a mechanics lien truck from my uncle.

Find comparable local sales (multiple). That will help.

Compiling a list right now. Kind of realized this one was strangely outfitted. I have not seen another with cloth seats, 4wd and a sunroof. Seems most 4wd are limited with leather.

Glad you're ok!

That's my favorite 4runner body style too. Good luck finding another.

Thanks, I really enjoyed the truck for the time I had it. Always like this body style too. Probably will take the insurance money and buy something smaller that gets good gas mileage. Looking at a civic or something similar. Its hard to justify having 4 SUVs that all barely get double digit gas mileage around town.

Atleast the insurance company is talking reasonably now. I think I may settle tomorrow or Monday. After a lot of back and forth they offered $8200. :) plus a separate settlement for all of the stuff inside.

That really stinks.

Sorry to hear the news, but glad to see/hear that you are alright. Always liked those runners.

thats a nice sized check...that will buy you a nice 92-95 civic and have enough money left over to put 300-400 hp at the wheels and still get 25-30 mpg around town!!!!

glad your ok!!!

Thanks again everyone! Still trying to decide what to buy next. Still waiting on the insurance to cut a check for all of the things broken in the accident. Hopefully they will have it settled next week. Amazingly that is over $12k in damage in that picture.
