Well, I finally quit lurking a few weeks ago and intoduced myself, announcing I was looking for an 80 series. Last night I had a friend drive me the 4 hours to Austin to check one out. It is a '97 with 122,xxx miles, and lockers. I picked it up from a guy who seems to pay to have his vehicles very well maintained. He was thinning his herd from five down to three. He had this LX, a SC300, LS400, (all white & pewter 2 tone) a Mercedes S500, and a BMW but I didn't catch the model. Anyway, very well taken care of, no dents/dings/major scratches. I'm extremely happy!

Attached is the obligitory poser pic, one thing I was disappointed with was aftermarket wheels, but they aren't TOO bad, and are actually growing on me just a little bit.

Looks very nice except the wheels don't do it for me. Welcome aboard the addiction.

Nice find. The grey plastic cladding actually looks nice on the white... How did you hear about this truck in Austin?

Cheers

Nice looking rig. A friend just bought the same color on sat...!

Paint the wheels black.....please :D

The wheels were a letdown for me, but we were two hours in and the PO called and said "by the way, I don't know if this will matter but..." Oh well, they can be replaced later. The rest of the rig definately makes up for it.

This rig still has the complete first aid kit, all tools never disturbed in their canvas bag, and the little credit card key thing in with the manual. It is CLEAN, the fake wood isn't even faded anywhere.

I found it on Cars.com, the guy listed it night before last before he went to bed. I called him when I found it, grabbed some cash, and headed to Austin. When I asked him if he would take cash for it, he looked at me like I was insane and asked what I was doing carrying that much cash around with me. Two people called about it while I was test driving it, he told them to call back, but little did they know it was already too late.

Speaking of Cars.com, there is a 40th with 90,xxx $12,200, but no lockers if anyone was interested.

Black out the wheels, hmmm I dunno, being white/two tone it might be a bit crazy. I will have to keep an eye out for a good set of used factory wheels. I promise they aren't too bad, but factory would have been much better.

Very cool.
Kinda reminds me of Norcal Doug's rig years ago.

Welcome, always good to see the continued increase of pink panties.

Later,

I've had good success selling wheels on eBay. You'll have to buy four big boxes, of course, but shipping isn't too bad if sent UPS or FedEx Ground.

Or just wheel the heck out of those blingers and not worry if they get trashed!

Looks good, mine looked like that at one time!

Take the bling center caps off the wheels, rattle can them dark gray and add some big meats!:D

Just shipped some very heavy items - DHL is cheaper than either UPS (most expensive) or FEDX Ground.

It a PANTY RAID :) :)
Congrats,
Sean

Another panty to the club .... Congrats!!!
