Smcruisin,

That guy has some crazy stuff!! I will check it out better tonight when I have more time but good find.

BDSeff1fitty,
4wheelparts has a deal that they ship for 60 or 69 for a complete set of tires?? and they claim they will match any advertised price??

THANKS

900R16 XL or XZL is 36.5" tall and 10.3" wide with an 8ply, Load Range D rating (5290lbs at 50psi) :)

or

1100r16 XL or XZL is 38.7" tall and 10.9" wide with an 8 ply, Load Range E rating (5766lbs at 50psi) :)

they are pricy...but wear like iron...not the greatest for off road (no flex) but an impressive tire for something that can be mounted on stock rims...they recomend 6.5" rims.

here is a place that sells them used....great guy to deal with...and good prices for used:

i dont deal with 4wp any more. last time they "price matched" when i was getting my lift for my truck it was $150 more than it should have been and then they tried getting over a grand for install. and my local 4wp are idiots and what they say they think are facts, one moron their actually wouldn't put thru the order for a different lift for me because he said my motor wasn't big enough to push the tires.it might just be my local 4wp but i just stopped dealing with them all together.

about the military tires...
this is a shot in the dark here... but arent the stock fj40 steelies a 16.5" rim??

i looked and looked and couldnt find 16.5" wheels for the heep so i decided i was just going to buy the tire rim set and then buy a set of 6 to 8lug wheel spacers. theres LOTS of them most for about 90 a pair but they can be found cheaper... i just never was sure how strong they would be... but again were talkin about something driving down the street so it should be ok

those wheels he is making out of the military wheels are SICK!!!!! id love a set...
but by the time you add in the 200$ a rim that kills any savings you get w/the military tires...

BUT! they would be 1of a kind and they would look AMAZING on a Toyota

(btw what are these going on???)

Sorry about that! This pic sucks but here it is....

I am hoping the back sits down a little more when it gets more weight on it....

I called onlinetire.com and they quoted 290 for the km2's each plus 141 for shipping. That is way lower than everyone else! Do you think they are blemish tires??? I didnt ask:hhmm:

Those wheels that he is making are in deed sick!!!! I want them but I am just so nervous about paying 800 plus shipping to lock myself into 16.5's :meh:

Then on the flip side I am having a hard time finding 17's that give the basic rugged non bling bling look to fit the BFG's that only come in as small as 17's

Ha crap i am a mess :o)

you have a v8 ,high steer , your body is nice pretty straight and shinny, your coming out and admitting its a mall crawler and you DONT want bling bling wheels?????

what size rim do you have now?? i KNOW those things will buff up and look great!! (thats my favorite style of wheel except i like black) id say keep those and buy tires to go on there....

unless you just want 37 17s.... in which case.... i could probably take those wheels you got off yr hands :D

or if you have any of this other stuff im looking for (see signature) also need a straight driver door... just if someone reading has one forsale...

Ok the quick skinny is I inherited it from my grandfather, It wasnt suppose to end up that straight, and yep absolutely no bling bling including those dang valve covers but they wanted to much for black or grey so.. :meh:

As far as coming out and admitting its a mall crawler..... It is easy for me because I have and have had wicked runners and rather beat them than my grandfathers rig that he would already kick my butt if he could see it!! :D

The wheels that are on it are 32x11.5x15 bfgs with procomp classic 2's that actually belong to my tacoma but I am running out the 31's that came on my cruiser since ??.... I better make this even worse and go take a pic of some other tires I have sitting here for if i ever win the lottery and buy a newer tacoma....

I will be back to edit :grinpimp:

Here is a pic of what is on my family wagon and other than being fake (even though they better fit my purpose) is kind of the look I was originally going for:

Here is a pic of what came on my cruiser that I was originally going to DIY bead lock kits (15's)
000_0004.webp

And here are some I picked up from a buddy cheap before the pickup got repo'ed :meh: Dont look at me like that :D

One option is DIY the black steel wheels, throw some Irok Radials on, and quit bugging everyone with my unability to make a decision..... If I knew for sure they would even come close to balancing I wouldn,t miss a beat. To spend the extra money on radials and then turn around and DIY beadlocks seems like a  (only because it is a randomly driven mall crawler I state that last comment)

little bit of scrubbing w/a brillo pad and some high heat spray paint can take care of chrome valve covers....

but iv spent my .02 on tires....

send me a PM when you post some pics of your rig

I heard back on shipping for the new military tires that were 650 or I think buy it now for 700 on ebay.

HELLO,
SHIPPING (4) TIRES TO A BUSINESS ADDRESS IN RIDDLE WOULD BE $155.95. IF YOU ARE GOING TO PICK THE TIRES UP AT AN OAK HARBOR SERVICE CENTER IT IS IN EUGENE. PLEASE CALL OR EMAIL WITH ANY OTHER QUESTIONS YOU MAY HAVE.

Honestly if I go this route I would surely go with the used 90% that JohnnyC mentioned for cheaper yet but 855 roughly is still dang cheap compared to the 1200 I am looking at for Iroks, BFG KM2s, or M16's

Edit - I have a quote request in with the sick wheels that the guy on pirate is makeing both with and without the tires..... I will keep you all posted
Edit - I found more H1 37x12.5's on ebay that are buy it now for 400 and are 90% tread - I have the shipping question in on them also

Recieved reply on shipping on the ebay 90% tread H1 tires for 400 and shipping is:

shipping to a business would be 165.00. thanks

Dang a set of tires for 565.00

And I found a solution to the want decent looking 17's that have zero bling bling:

Copper Head Fab has these weld in rock rings in 17's:
172.00 at my door step
rockring1.webp
And these for 242.50 I think it was with shipping
rockring2.webp

Now I wish 17 inch steel wheels were dime a dozen like 15's

I am waiting to here back from the wicked wheel guy on pirate

I heard back from the sick wheel guy and the price is right including 35.oo each shipping but he only has the flat centers....... I can not win for loosing.

Just a thought on tires even though it is a bit late, but have you considered the Trxus Muds?

Never too late!! I stalled on ordering today just because I am so unsure of my decision but...... I did think about the trxus but I kind of didnt know if I liked the looks of them even though they are different but THANKS

Right now I am planning to order the recentered wheels off of pirate and 37 H1 tires from ebay.... unless someone stops me for a decent reason in the next 18 hours :)

Here is my insane thoughts: The hummer beadlocks will save me about a 100.00 because i can break them down and install the tires myself. The Iroks (I really want) are as much as the tires and wheels. The iroks I will need to do something with my wheels to get the look I am after such as rock rings which are about 200.00 including shipping and then they wanted 160 to powdercoat my wheels locally (not that powdercoating is a must). I talked to a guy today that ran hummer wheels and the exact H1 tires on a full size ford and he said the exact same as others "they balanced close enough that I drove them down the highway and didnt notice, they wore like iron, they looked alright, BUT they sucked on wet pavement" - the last part sucks but makes good sense :meh:

The for sure down falls are that the tires and wheels are both heavy when compared to others.... and they suck in the rain

... just slow down in the rain
my dunlops were reviewed as being poor on wet roads
but i NEVER had a problem w/them.... but i slowed down in the rain... hell we arent driving AWD sport cars here they are top heave bricks on wheels w/o ABS....

Copy that! That was my thought. I used to drive a bobbed off yota that had 14.5's and a lincoln locker...... Wet roads were not my friend but I just drove accordingly..
