I need help installing my h55 into my existing 2f. I can't do it by myself. I want to test fit the 5 speed, set the tub on to check clearances, remove the tub, remove the 5 speed, and set the engine on a rack for shipment, I have no fancy shop or equipment. Just a hoist , a transmission lift and a little lead in my ass. I know it's getting close to Christmas. I am open to any dates. I'll feed you.

I don't think I can swing before Xmas, but maybe early Jan?

Guys let's do January. 3-4 of us can knock it out in short order I am sure. You have no idea how much I appreciate it. Let me know what day is best. I'll have the tools and food.

Are you off of NC27?
There is a badass dark gray 70 series parked behind a house in NC 27 near lillington. I see it when I take 27 to lillington from work. That’s not your place is it?

No sir. I am exactly 1 1/2 miles off of 401 N.

Guys it looks like January 3rd is the day. The 3rd is, as matter of fact, the old man's B'day. Please let me know if you can make it so I can have enough food and drinks on hand. Any advice on advance preparation is welcome. Again. The tub is already off and sitting about 6 feet from the the chassis. The engine and bellhousing are still on the chassis. The 5 speed is right where I gave up. Between the frame rails. I have a hoist, a floor jack, and tools. What I lack is enough lead in my ass to manhandle that 5 speed. Thanks again.

That should work well. It's on the calendar.

For those offering to help on Mrs. Jones:
Date: Sunday, January 3rd
Time: 10:00
Address: 920 Elliot Farm Rd.
Fayetteville, NC
This is outside. Supposed to be sunny but a little chilly.
Current State of Mrs. Jones: She has been stripped. Her tub is on a frame next to her. The 2F is still in place.
Goals: Mate 40 series H55F to 2F. Check clearances for transfercase parking brake and supports. Set tub to check clearances at transmission access panel and determine if what if any modifications are actually necessary. Remove tub. Remove transmission. Remove 2F and set on shipping frame.
Tools on hand: I have 1 Milwaukee cordless impact gun and both deep and shallow metric sockets. Hoist, straps, floor jack, and motorcycle/transmission lift (pretty useless as tight as everything is)
If there is something else needed let me know. I'll do my best to acquire it by the 3rd.
Bribe: Food, drink, beer, warm fire and my sincere appreciation.

Please let me know if you can make it. I know it's not a big job or technically challenging. Pretty much grunt work.
Thanks, Tom

I can bring a 30 gal compressor and some more air tools. Would another trans jack be needed/useful?

Guys standby for a weather update. So far it's gone from 0% chance of rain to 40% for Sunday morning. Again I don't have a shop so the work will be done outside. I will not ask nor expect anyone to work in the rain. I will update this post as the weekend approaches. Hopefully by early Saturday morning I'll say "Go", "No Go". Maybe I can find someone that sells garage /shelters and actually has one in stock. Thanks again
