I manually rotated the crankshaft with the head off. Can I still set the timing? (1 Viewer)

So, I am replacing the head gasket on a 1fz-fe, and essentially, what happened was I manually turned the crankshaft to clean some of the carbon build-up off the pistons without lifting the camshaft sprocket so the timing chain was loose. The chain moved with the crankshaft as the bright link is no longer at the top of the sprocket. I cannot turn the crankshaft clockwise to return to the top dead centre, but turning anti-clockwise is smooth (not sure if this is normal). The timing chain is zip-tied to the camshaft sprocket. The number 1 piston is no longer at TDC.

So, I'm unsure what the best way would be to get back to TDC on piston number one so I can put the head back on.

Have I totally screwed myself in terms of the engine timing?
Or Should I cut the zip ties and continue manually rotating until the TDC mark on the crankshaft pulley lines up?
Or should I rotate until the crankshaft pulley mark and bright link return to the TDC positions?
Or do I have to remove the timing cover and reset the timing?

Thanks in advance for any help!!
