Found every place where the gaskets and seals weren't 100%. Got water coming in through the door seams, and gallons poured in through the missing gasket on top of the lift gate.:eek:

I suppose this would make a good test if you were wanting to know the condition of the gaskets.

Looks like I have some seal replacing to do.
 
lol... i have heard that fj40's didnt even completely seal water when they were new. I sure know that mine doesnt. Its what makes a fj40 an fj40
 
FJ/BJ seals

If we, FJ/BJ owners, should complain about our seals,what could they say the Landrover owners?

I thought about running mine through a carwash one day but I was afraid it would get blown apart.:hillbilly:
 
I can just picture that! I often wondered what mine would do.
 
dude from Guam was tellin me about his dads old 40 as well as a neighbors, during a typhoon the neighbor left the windows down on the 40..........wind was so strong it took the bolded on hard top right off the 40.......also stuck a metal roof thru a tree........one side to the other

i recommend everyone do it at least once, great experience, LOL
