Dear FJ60 Community,

I hope this message finds you all well! I am thrilled to share some exciting news with you—I've just purchased my very own FJ60 Land Cruiser, and it's the Middle Eastern version

From the moment I laid eyes on this beauty, I knew it was meant to be. The rugged design, the iconic lines, and the rich history behind the FJ60 have always captivated me. Owning one has been a dream of mine for years, and now that dream has finally come true!

I look forward to sharing my journey as I restore and customize my FJ60. I'm eager to hear your advice and tips on maintenance, upgrades, and any hidden gems you might recommend for these incredible vehicles.

Thank you for being such a supportive community of fellow enthusiasts. I can't wait to connect with you all and share photos of my new ride!

Best regards,

Welcome!

Looks like a very nice example. Is it easy to find 60 Series Land Cruisers in Saudi Arabia, or are they rare?

I own a general market (SE Asia) BJ60 which has a very low specification. I'm interested to see what features your has. Does it have steps on the rear corner to climb onto the roof? Or mounting holes for such steps?

Thank you 60 series not that rare
For the rear corner see the picture attached

Thanks for the picture. Mine has the same fold-down troop carrier rear seats but does not have sliding rear windows. I also have the same pintle hook, but on a one-piece bumper rather than the step bumper you have.

@ZAID80KSA Very cool truck. Congratulations! Us folks here in the US look at this truck and are excited to see all sorts of neat things that might be common in your part of the world: the rear barn doors, the corner steps at the back, the sliding cargo windows, two piece bumper with pintle hook, the fold down seats in the cargo area, the larger mirrors with the round headlights (our larger mirrors only came with the rectangular headlights from 1988-90), the hood ornament, etc. The US market trucks did not get any of those - they weren't even options here. They're like forbidden fruit for us haha.

I hope you stay happy and healthy and enjoy your adventures in your "new" FJ60. Please post more photos, we'd love to see the truck out in the empty quarter or just cruising around the city!

ZAID80KSA,

Great photos, thank you for sharing! Perfect opportunity, you have the truck, nature and coffee! Have a great time!

Once my FJ60 eventually makes it to Munich, we're planning on taking it to the ME and Africa for some overlanding. :)
I'm in for the Africa trip. Let me know when to get plane tickets for Munchen.
