All I was doing was showing my wife why we needed lockers. Nothing like a little visual presentation for her to get the idea. Even though my buddies J**P had to pull me out twice on this little trip (cause he was scared to lead) it was worth it cause now she says that I can get them. This was a day trip about 30 miles from my house going up a mountain trail looking for some indian petroglyphs, never found them although I never found the bottom of the second mud hole either

Good job in pretending to get stuck! (for the lockers) lol

Worked for me on the 40. Got stuck at the beach in the sand, and explained why all 4 tires were not spinning at the same time to the wife. The guys that pulled me out did not know what an open diff was. They just thought my 4x4 was broke or something. They will find out when they get stuck what it means. Bought the aussie locker for the rear the next day. Kind of a big differnace in price if you get the ARB. Are you getting the ARB?

Wes, how good are the aussie lockers, my limo does not work anymore and I was told to go for the locker, what are your thoughts and price???

I think it was $240 (us dollar) shipped. It works great off the road but mine is not the best on the road. I can notice it and have to press the clutch in to go around turns. I'm pretty sure it is normal. I've heard of some people not even noticing it back there. I really didn't like it that much at first on road but, now it does not bother me. I could use it now as a daily driver no problem. It is easy to install.

After the lockers go back to that same location and now get stuck 20 feet further on and show her how you need a winch.

Don't forget to bump a rocker panel. That's what I'm doing next weekend to get sliders!

I wish that would work on my wife but i think she gets a kick out of watching me tread waist deep in mud to hook up the wich cable :D

tokyo- I don't think the pintle attachment is a recovery point!

You also need a winch and new front bumper. As mentioned earlier, not a good attachment point in rear. You need a different rear bumper, lift and bigger tires.

I am impressed at your desire to keep your family safe.:D :D
