I got a 96 FJZ80 w/ 1FZFE

I am new to this forum. I got a handed down 96 FJZ80 w/ !FZFE motor. It has about 200k and it runs like new. The odometer broke so it could be more. I'm blowing smokw out the back that's why I'm take apart the engine then putting it back together. Also I am adding a turbo kit. I got the manifold for turbo so far. Any suggestions?

If it runs like new it might be prudent to determine where the smoke is coming from before tearing down the whole engine. If it is a simple fix you shouldn't need to rebuild that thing for several more years. BTW welcome, and don't forget to search.

Good thing you didnt a 96 FZJ80 with the 3FE

200k on a 1FZE motor that is "running like new" is no need for a rebuild, although if you are blowing smoke you have SOMETHING wrong and should check it out.

Search on "turbo" and/or "supercharger" and you'll find all kinds of good info.
