I have a problem with my FJ62, I don't remember how it started, but ones i finished using the 4wd, i disconnected the hubs, and i pressed the button on the panel so the 4h turn off, but this wasn't disconnected and the light still turned on,
Somen one told me that was the selenoid, but the truth is that there's no one who can repair it here in Juarez, that's why I need your help to know where this selenoid is located and how to change it, so my fj returns to it's normal status.

Other issue that i need to clear is that I made the SOA to the fj, and the front cardan makes lots of noise when I'm on the road, and when i took a look at it i found that the transfer case was loose, do I need a SYE? or just change the transfer case bearing?

I believe that you are supposed to push the 4x4 button and then get out and unlock the hubs. Could this be the problem?

Mine does this all the time. The solenoid is on the upper right side of the engine compartment (left side if you are in front of the car). It has two hoses connected to it, one over the other. The solution is to push the button back in (as if you are in 4WD, switch the hoses on the solenoid, then go back to the cab, push the 4WD button to get out of 4WD. This should turn off the light. Then, switch the hoses back again. See the thread below...
