Hi All:

Hey David! Looks like a pretty cool rig!

Are you gonna buy it?? :D

What is that blue truck in the 4th photo? An old Nissan Patrol?

Regards,

Alan

i thought 99' was beginning of coils upfront & 5 bolts. How many versions of H55F were they? In North Borneo, HZJ81 with H55F (aluminum casing) as well as H150F. TMC seemed to have mixed them up & i always thought all H55F had cast iron casings.

Nop .. are really nice but I love the space .. so maybe when my wife allow me .. an VDJ76 ..

Yet it is .. a couple of 'em here in Panamá ..

production date May 97
the 1HZ came with the H55F in the HZJ70, 73, 77, 75...

That really surprise me .. It's I don't expect found a late H55F production .. are the same as mine in my old Tencha .. ?

'98 would have had five bolt wheels and coils in the front, no?

Nop .. at least here in Panamá 99 was the year of the conversion .. but still no coil on front .. means no usually 71 availables here .. only 70 series ..
tha's sad ..

H55F is a H55F...

i have yet to see an aluminum H55F tranny case... t/case yes... tranny ..no.

Either way, that truck looks SAHWEET! I would love to have a shorty with 1HZ and H55f! Would be a great way to mess with the Jeep guys around here. Rag top w/half doors and windscreen folded for more fun in the sun here. :hillbilly:

I think australia got them 1st in 98. Some countries didnt get the 5 stud unill 2000

i currently drive a 1997 HZJ81 as a dd which comes with a 1HZ-H55F.

Took the tranny down to check bout 2 months ago and surprised to find that it has an aluminum casing and plate under the hood reads H55F.

I'll take a picture of it once i get it up on the hoist sometime soon.

that would be appreciated...
i just checked the EPC and the H55F has the same case part number from 90-9908 and then it changes up from there...
interesting...

really really nice to get this pics .. it means that the H55F still in production .. ? or was until 97 .. !!! WTF .. why Toyota do this kind of mess !

Hi All:

Yes, the H55F is still in production . . . . at least the F/H engine version . . . . . or Toyota has a stockpile somewhere! :D One can purchase a new H55F from some dealers here in the USA for about $1800.

Regards,

Alan

I have a 99' HZJ75 series PU and it has 1HZ with H55F change over was in late 99' to the 79 series (or front coils) however you could still get the H55F up to 2003.

This is at least in the Middle East specs.

Cheers,

Michael
