Can someone tell me the size of the holes going thru the body of the hylift??

I'm making some mounting brackets for my roll bar and need to knwo the right size bolt to use ( i think it's 1/2 inch bolt)

My hylift is at home.....

Will post pics when done...

Muchas Gracias!! Thanks for the confirmation!

Now off to program the clamps! Pics coming in a few days...

Here's the pics I lagged on.. Got the clamps done that same day, just too lazy to take the pics...

Still need to get them black anodized and bamm I got me a mount anywhere on the roll bar hylift mount

very cool. why not put them on the bar someplace and snap a photo and lets seem them mounted. is there a bit of extra circumference play to deal with any tube differences?

boy, now you need a lock to lock your mounts :)

Want,

I made them for the diameter of my bars... The ID of the clamp is .005" smaller than the Dia. of the roll bar so It'll clamp nice and tight.. Wasn't really making them for mass production ;)

I made them like this so I can take them off when not wheeling no need to lock them or the hylift as it'll be on the rig only when on a trip.

I'll have pics of it mounted on the bar in various locations in the next couple days...

The correct spelling is Hi Lift.

Mark, that clamp is beautiful; wish I had those kind of capabilities. You should consider a small production run--I'm sure there'd be some interest.

BTW, a good (free) lock for the hi lift is a pistol lock: the kind that has an encased cable meant to go through the gun's action and barrel. Though it's defeated easily enough by determined thieves, it's good enough to stop casual/opportunistic slimeballs... and they give these locks away free all the time at fairs & such.

PS--OTOH my :hillbilly: lock suggestion would look like crap next to a nice billet mount like that.

if you want to get technical about it, since it is a brand name it is actually Hi-Lift.

Neat idea....

How much for a couple sets made for 2" tube, shipped to 55024?

Let me know!

Thanks!

Here are some pics mounted and some of my other favorite accessories...

On making these things let me look into how much material will cost and all that good stuff. I'm not even sure what to charge for something like this...

I have seen people use connecting rods for the same thing, I guess the journal size from some motors are the same as the roll bar......
