I found a new in box TRD boost gauge with an A pillar housing. Looks like the hundy, taco and tundra share the same size A pillar. I'm having it installed later this week and will post up some pictures and part numbers if it works.

Very cool, please do!

I am having major headaches getting the MAP ECU working. I think I should have gone UniChip. Car won't even start

Finally found a boost gauge option that seems to fit. Appears that the Tacoma, Tundra, LC and LX have the same sized a pillar.

I added the boost gauge instructions as an attachment to the first post of the thread, it has the part numbers in it as well.

Part numbers listed in attachment mentioned are:

00602-83100-001 (95-98 T100)
00602-83100-002 (95-00 Tacoma, 96-02 4Rnr)
00602-83100-003 (01 Tacoma)
00602-83100-004 (00-03 Tundra)
00602-83100-005 (02-03 Tacoma)

So I'm thinking all of these vehicles have the same A Pillar as the LX/LC

Those are in fact unique part numbers so while the instructions may cover them all, the pod itself is likely a bit different for each. Guessing yours came sans box? Looks like the 003, 004 and 005 are still available, 001 and 002 have been discontinued.

I did get the box, I'll go dig it out in a few minutes. In the mean time there is a seller on ebay selling the main Supercharger unit for a good price:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Toyota-tundra-4-7-trd-supercharger-BNIB-/271296307425?ssPageName=ADME:B:SS:US:1123

I got one for $711 since my current unit had 80k miles on it when I bought it and I've put another 15k on it. I didn't want it to break eventually and never have a back up.

In the bottom of the right corner someone wrote tac001, probably for Tacoma

Thanks!

Unfortunately it looks like it has been discontinued by Toyota.

I found a spare core MP90 core unit on ebay that are brand new. Gabe bought them from a source inside TRD and has sold over 25 of them to various people, appearantly with some modifications they fit on a couple other vehicles. This is not something that will work for a new person, you must have the rest of the kit, but for people that already have a TRD super charger, this is a great cheap alternative to getting a backup unit incase your high mileage unit falters or needs servicing.

Gabe has some good connections within TRD, he might be able to source some hard to find TRD parts, just message him.

Sweet, I don't see anything listed currently but I'll keep my eyes peeled.

I spoke to him by phone yesterday, he hasn't listed his last unit but has one on hand. For the serious buyer I recommend sending him a message through eBay before he lists it to negotiate the best price.

When It Was Boosted 4Runner Supercharged

I see a lot of posts for the type of acceleration you will see. I will load a link of a video of when the 4Runner was boosted. 2003 V8. Most everything stock, rolling acceleration, 2x4, ~4500 lbs. Never got a true dyno, as when we were taking it in for tuning with the SS FTC1, we started to lose power due to the catalytic converters burning out. Mash the pedal and it would put a smile on your face. The dealer after the failures removed and put everything back to stock and refunded us the money for the blower and install. It was the most exhilarating year we ever had in that truck. Since then life happened and I have been collection parts slowly to boost her once again and modify the parts that failed I am just about there, just need some time and hoping for the UCON from URD to be made for her.

Are stock injectors used with sc? I have driven my sc 4,000 miles (car has 92k miles) and 2 injectors recently failed. Check engine light is coming on intermittently for 3rd one which was replaced (7 was triggering and it was replaced and no longer triggers).

I'm using stock injectors and have been for about 20k miles now.

I use stock injectors for the last 160,000 miles - I had the injectors cleaned and balance maybe 5,000 miles ago - the truck has 210,xxx miles - s/c was installed at 50,000 miles.

Hi, All, I read your posts with interest,
I have had the TRD Supercharger installed on my 2000 Tundra for 30,000 miles and am lovin it
Just a note concerning hard parts to get, the stock water neck( Thermostat Housing) can be modified for use with the TRD SC, I made one for a friend and it works fine, it required a little bit of welding and a small amount of machining, follow the link for some comparison pictures of the two housing and the idler mount required, (http://toyotasupraparts.webs.com/apps/photos/album?albumid=10646386)

Great addition! I've known a couple of folks that didn't get that part only to face having a $3000 paperweight.
