GOLD Star
I purchased this neglected 92 80 Series last April for $1,000. It was a two owner vehicle with Essentially no maintenance being done except what was necessary and it was very rough in every aspect. Having been a long time Land Cruiser enthusiast and the owner of Express Rally (An Arkansas based organization that plans weekend driving events for owners of exotics and high end sports cars), this rig was the perfect opportunity to build a vehicle to promote our new Adventure Series events. These events combine scenic trails and time at off-road parks and other destinations for those new to wheeling or for veterans to experience their hobby in a new way.
The build began last year with completely going through the vehicle from bumper to bumper and coming up with a game plan for where I wanted to build to go. Outside of addressing long overdue maintenance items, I knew I wanted something unique for my brand and something that would be capable on most trails. I also am married and have twin daughters, and we enjoy spending time outdoors so the rig was to be built for adventure and ultimately overlanding duty.
This truck has come a very long way since last year and I am thrilled to share the progress with this community. Below you will find photos of how the cruiser looks currently and what we have coming. As the build wraps up in the coming months I will certainly keep this thread updated. All of the photos were taken with my phone, but we have several shoots booked with professionals and I will share those images and videos as they are available.
I want to personally thank a few individuals for their assistance in taking this build from an idea to reality:
- Jeremy Headlee @ Icon Vehicle Dynamics
- Dave Schenker @ Delta Vehicle Systems
- Jeremy Merriman @ Administration Motorsports
- Robert Garza @ Hog City Customs
