A few bonus photos as we waited on more parts to arrive. Next time I will be sure to NOT undertake a build of this magnitude while a global pandemic is going on.

I had some cool artwork done by Auto Nation Illustration and little did I know that just a few months later this rendering would make the "80s of Instagram" poster along with several other notable mud members! I did ask AJ to freshen up the look as the wheels had changed at this point - pretty cool!

Around this time my license plate for the 80 arrived as well. If you are familiar with old school Toyota advertisements it will make sense.

A few random bits arrived from Baja Designs and some rear tailgate storage from Big Country 4X4. Thanks to Cruiser Outfitters for hooking me up with some rad stickers!

Jason had a friends 5th gen 4runner in the shop for a Marlin Crawler suspension upgrade and he lovingly sent me a photo of his 40s next to my 35s. I decided to upgrade to 37s.

The GFC V2 RTT finally arrived as well!

The first fill up with diesel. It may not look like much but man has this been a LONG time coming.

After a few interesting conversations on podcasts and social media about budget builds and how often times people are looked down on for purchasing products from businesses instead of building/fabbing or creating their own I got together with Sam from Ace Overland and teamed up with @Delta VS to come up with a fun t-shirt and sticker combo that celebrates all types of builds. I could spend all day talking about this but I digress - enjoy a meme and the cool design from Ace Overland!

I haven't messed with any RC since I was a kid, but when you see a small RC 80 Series you can take with you and have some fun you have to get it. My 12 year old son is into RC cars so if nothing else it will give us something else to do at camp!

My excitement of getting the 80 home soon caused me to make some questionable decisions and I picked up a new hat from Eszett Haberdashery and a new hat and beanie from Blackdog Traders.

New Midland radio MXT575 and some swag arrived! Jason will be installing with along with a hidden speaker. A comms upgrade was much needed!

More odds and ends arriving and being installed amidst more test drive miles. A-pillar gauges in, Slee armor, and getting the old wheels and tires sold to make way for new wheels from Braid and 37's!

I was a little concerned I wouldn't like the look of the Braids as much as the Tandems I had but after seeing these on the cruiser I am really pleased.

I sold my existing Delta VS bumper to Jason to make way for a new one complete with a grill guard and mounts for the WeBoost and Alamosa antenna. After the bumper goes on there are a few odds and ends and some additional lighting to go on the front of the GFC and the 80 will FINALLY be headed home!

Very cool to see the details of this build! It turned out awesome! I really like those Braid wheels. They look good on an 80, first time I've seen them on a Cruiser.
