I'm sure Jasco makes something that would work. Check out the paint department at you friendly local Big Box home improvement store.

i would buy a few twisted wire cup wheels and go to town with a grinder. keep in mind your going to be removing paint too. a good dust mask or better will keep you alive long enough to injoy the work you put into it.

It was a lot of work but worth it!

We manufacture some contact adhesives
and we use Xylene for cleaning all the machines

Be warned it is very flammable and aggressive
Make sure to wear safety gloves and a respirator

Sounds good

I will try the wire wheel. I started the other day and it seemed to work pretty good. Thanks

That looks like the factory pitch stuff.
It comes off easy if you hit it with a scrapper blade while it's cold. It is similar to silly putty, if you go slow it gets gooey, if you use sharp blows it it will break. I had all mine off in one afternoon then cleaned up with lighter fluid.

we used paint thinner/solvent

Lacquer thinner works really well for getting all kinds of crap off.

Go to an autobody supply store... They should have a have a wheel made out of the pencil eraser only much tougher. Attach it to a variable speed drill and all that sticky crap will peel off.

Something like this

Auto Body Supply, Inc

I'm surprised no one said torch :)

I've used one in the past to burn residue like that and then easily scrape it off. The torch turns the stuff brittle and no more goo.

Don't start your truck on fire.
