yea, so I can get wilted lettuce a la carbonizera
raise the bed off the ground
not a cheap or easy method, but at least you can control the path at which they would climb the legs of the bed.
A dish full of water and sugar. Line the lip with fly paper and then sink the disk as ground level at the edges of the bed. put a water proof cover "large butter container with easy access holes at bottom. That will work.
Put two metal strip on a board with a 1/16 gap A;aluminum foilon top of the upper half of a abs plastic. electrify it with the guts of a fly swatter and when the ant bridge the strips...zap!
