How Much Should I Worry About This Undercarriage Rust?

MIne is worse. Tried to go out and replace my spare winch today. Bolt heads have all rusted down to something between a 12mm and 11mm. Thinking i'm going to have to find a new support memeber and frame brackets so I can just cut the old rusty one out of there. Or go buy a rear bumper from @benc and be done with the whole thing!

If the price is less than $2k I wouldn't hesitate to buy that one understanding it would never be a 'cream puff' cruiser. Based on the photos, I assume the rocker panels are entirely rusted out and the frame needs some help. Not expensive work if you have the resources to tackle the work.

If you are looking to buy a nice cruiser and only want to do typical maintenance and mods, don't buy this one.

That is a parts truck... well, a "some parts" truck - 'cause you're going to bust every fastener and half your knuckles removing any part on the underside.

IGNORE every truck that has spent any significant portion of its life north of VA. Buy South. Fly South. Drive North.

Thanks so much for the advice everyone, I really appreciate it!

I ended up buying a 2005 (the one pictured above is a 2000) with similar mileage for $2K more so it seemed worth it. Rust on this one looks much more manageable and it's spent the last 2 winters in Florida which probably helps by not being in the snow.

Here are photos of the undercarriage for the one I eventually wound up buying:
