Lets start a thread here...

How much off MSRP did you get your LX570 for???
Lastly, was it an order, or did you see one on the lot and drive off?

Mine is an order that i placed a week ago..only got $600 off msrp

Went to two dealers, and the other dealer would not budge off msrp

just seen the 1 delivered here in new jersey msrp was 81k; my service guy told me they had 26 ordered and all were paid up front. they are trying to get them from other dealerships in the area. no discounts up here

So why not wait until they have been out for a few months and then buy and save $$$? Same thing happened with the Prius out here, where the stealers were charging over sticker. Once they had been out for a few months, they were dealing again.

Check Ebay, i've seen several at much less than MSRP. Correction: I guess they've been LCs.

That's exactly what I am doing.
I got only two dealers within 60 miles radius and they are stuck on msrp.
We will see if they are less arrogant in a few months.

My Lexus Dealership will not come down 1 dollar.

They want a $1,000.00 deposit and for you wait a couple of months.

I got the impression they had the first 20 - 30 sold, but when the

purchasers / leasers get a look at the new design and price they

may want to keep their exisiting LX's. Our salesman told me Lexus /

Toyota had a smaller the normal volume of LX's and LC's coming to

the USA for the first round of production. (For a new product

introduction) Maybe a larger portion are going to the Middle

Eastern Markets, where the gas is CHEAP!!!

LX Production

Maybe I can explain, Feb production for the North Eastern Area is 173 LX570's , there are 62 dealers in the North East. I live and work in the Northern Va area for Lindsay Lexus, our District which consist of ten dealers have pre-sold about 450 LX570's and now that the truck is out we are taking orders everyday. I don't think anybody's arrorgant about the pricing, right now it just a supply and demand thing . What would you do if you owned a Lexus dealership and you had 45 orders and your getting 3 to 4 trucks a month?
If you wait 6 to 8 months and you'll see discounts in the 2 to 4K range and that shuold make everybody happier .
I wish Toyota would ship more to the US to help keep the price down, I'll be the first one to tell you I was shocked at the price jump from the 2007 to 2008. Happy Hunting
Pemarsh, I'm not sure what region of the country you live in, but unless you special ordered your LX570, I don't think you'll find a base model anywhere in the country, they just don't build them that way. You'll wait 120 days plus to have them build it for you and by that time they just might be discounting them. Or go buy a Land Cruiser, a buddy of mine just got 3k off, just my 2 cents

Thank you for the explanation, now I understand the Lexus dealer's position.
Presently I drive a great SUV , the 2006 LX470 with low mileage, I could very well wait till the 2009 LX570 model and perhaps by then they we'll be willing to deal. I refuse to pay msrp.

As we all know, its the first major re-design since 1998, interest is extremly high and will be for a while. But like the LS460 which sold at stcker for about 6 to 8 months and now you can get thousands off. It will change and we all know that. I understand your feeling's about not wanting to pay msrp.

And the vultures make their way our of the woodworks.

there are plenty 200's on ebay....2008 as well as 2009.....new and used..

The LX570s were being bought up by brokers who were selling them to customers outside the US (Middle East and elsewhere). The US versions are equipped quite differently than in other countries making them unique outside the US.

Also, the US Dollar was weak making them cheaper to buy. Toyota/Lexus has cracked down on this practice and is pressing dealers not to sell to the brokers as they want to keep their international markets strong.

I see a black one on the lot at Lexus of Mount Kisco, NY - about 1 hour North of NYC.

Not sure if it is sold. Also, not sure of equipment as I have not stopped to take a look.

I see a silver one everyday in front of Lexus of Tucson on Speedway in Tucson, AZ. Also not sure if it is sold already or equipment on it. Tucson is a great market to buy from because competition on high class vehicles is low. It might even be an '08 that needs to go, who knows.

If you do call about it, ask for Scott at the Automall Lexus dealership (same owners). He's an outstanding guy to work with. By far the best I've ever dealt with and we got a great deal on an RX330 back in '05 from him. PM me and I can get you his number, etc.

Just an FYI...
