Just wondering. Quite a few people out here with 3B's I noticed. I've got a 3B in my Land ***** and it has done about 170,000 km's and is a prime candidate for a turbo-intercooler setup
. Only problem I currently have is that the starter sometimes goes kkgggrrrrrrrrrr and doesn't engage in the starter ring to spin the motor. Most horrible sound, prob the starter needs some cleaning inside I reckon.
Other than that, no problems.
It gives me around 11ltr/100km (you work out what mpg that is, I'm no good with numbers) and I change the oil and filter every 5,000km's. It hardly uses any oil, in between oil changes the level drops 5mm on the dipstick. Absolutely no smoke whatsoever.
I'm using Nipparts oil filters, usually MAN diesel filters and good quality 10W-40 semi synthetic oil.
So, how many miles has your 3B done? turbo'd? Any problems? Mileage? How often do you change the oil and filter?is it using oil? smoking? Anything else?
