168,000 and all is well.

140,000 on original HG. Just rented the block tester at Autozone that detects exhaust gases in the coolant and all was well.

202,500 on original HG and still going strong.

my 93 has 242k with a factory gasket...
the 97 only went 180k but a rock through the radiator took it out...

keep a good radiator in it, most of the failures i've seen tbe radiator is plugged and it over heats without you knowing it due to the factory gauge &$!:

'92 and 210K miles with good compression

170k on original HG and going strong.

150,130 and going strong after a new radiator and coolant swap this weekend.

Rubbing lucky rabbits foot to keep the jinx away.

170k and still ticking.

mine is at 114,000 and change......still original i guess, i have been driving it since 54,000 miles and no indications of any major work.

doug

Had a '94 LC with 238, all original when she went to a new home, and I now have a '97 450 with 125k and she still sparkles. No problemo senior!

273,000 miles factory hg.

153k on original HG

213K on the 93 and it's the OG factory HG AFAIK. Keeping our fingers crossed that it keeps ticking, but I'm on the fence about doing the HG as PM. If I remembered anything about electronics from my college physics courses I'd consider doing an engine swap when it goes, preferably a 2UZ, but crossing to the dark side with an the atlas motor is kind of intriguing. However, I don't know if I could bring myself to contaminate the beautiful Toyota engineering with a domestic motor.

The 97 had the HG replaced by the PO (at a lexus dealership) at around 85K. I bought it at 124K in 2006 and it's going strong at 158K (~50-60K on the new HG). The last 20K have been S/C miles.

AFAIK, original and at 159K. I'm not too concerned about blowing a HG. I think the problem has been generally overblown. If it happens, it happens.

I ignored this thread at first, because it sounded like such an opportunity for another whine-fest.

It's actually starting to look like a decent dataset. Here's to everyone not becoming a statistic:cheers:

Glad to hear that there are lots of good HGs out there. Ours is holding at just short of 153k, knock on wood:p

220K and seems to be running fine.
