How do you replace the license plate light bulb?

I haven't been able to find any instructions for this and I don't want to break anything. Is it accessible from outside, I assume it would be, or do you need to remove the panel inside the rear door? Thanks

Rear panel

I'm pretty sure it's from the inside panel. Unless there's a secret way of doing it. The outside would be a hundred times easier if that's the case

They're just clipped in. If you can't get them with your fingers, use a plastic pry tool or wrap a screw driver in a towel and pop them out. Mine come out with my hands and some effort.

Thank you! I used a nylon pry tool and they popped right out. The bulb was hard to get out of the socket since it was hard to get a grip on, so I pinched it with a fat rubber band to pull it out. Very quick and easy.

to remove the light bulb just twist the holder 90 degrees and pull it out of the lens.

Ya, the bulbs are definitely hard to spin out. Glad you got it!

Just to clarify for those who are working on this and have never seen this bulb, the bulb holder turns 90 degrees and pulls out. But the bulb itself is a push-in style bulb and should not be turned in the socket, it needs to get pulled straight out.
