Search doesn't turn up too many results on here.

Looks like the options are either
  • Spreadsheet
  • Toyota Owners website with the Add a Record function.

Toyota Owners website

Anyone have thoughts on this? I was thinking about using the Toyota Owners website but I like the idea of a custom spreadsheet. I'd be interested to see what people's spreadsheets look like.

I use the (old) Toyota Owners app. It is nice however the new version of the app does not allow me to add my 2006 ...i am told for some reason it does not support “old” VINs

I created a Google Sheet as well. Since only about 75% of the service records were in the Lexus Drivers database (the rest were on Carfax), I figured I’d have more customization bybmerging everything into a spreadsheet. It allows me to track costs and estimate next service date/mileage.

aCar / Fuely - I track everything here
Looks like thats a fuel service that recently acquired aCar? Is that Android only?

I have my 2006 on there. Try it again?

Lexus driver's sit -> Add a record.

Google sheets here as well. Served me well as I have 5 cars and do my own maintenance.

I’ve got a 2000, so I go old school. Spiral notepad and a #2 pencil. If I’m feeling particularly next gen I’ll use a ballpoint.

I use the CarFax Car Care app. I don't remember why I started using it, but it's been 3 years now and I haven't used anything else. I like how it automatically includes dealer/tire shop CarFax reports in the history...now that I think of it, that's probably why I started using it in the first place. 😆

I made a very simple template that allows you to track it with ease that'll tell you when your next service or maintenance is due:

I use this for my vehicles as well. It works good, and I can access it on my phone.

Can you edit CARFAX entries?
I bet carfax gleans some of those service items for their reports which could be good if selling.

I might want something more custom that I can input part #'s, 'Mud links, and personal notes. Especially since there's going to be a lot of DIY on my part (I hope).
Leaning towards a mega google spreadsheet.

Any examples of your sheet you can share? It would be helpful to see what other smart people have come up with before diving in to create my spreadsheet.

Mine is quite simple. Just a list of all service records with date, mileage, servicer, cost, notes and estimate of next service. I also calculate the estimated next regular PM items listed in the service manual.

You can’t edit the entries that are reported by individual shops/dealerships, but you can upload receipts and enter your own notes if you wish. Definitely not as flexible as a custom spreadsheet, but it gets the job done.

Another plus that I didn’t mention is that it informs you of new recalls in case you have other vehicles you track. Also has option to specify tire size, brand, etc. whenever your tire shop reports your tire install.

I print things out and stick them in a binder, and write the torque specs and fluid types/volumes on the papers.
