So.. I went and had the cooling system flushed because it was not doing it's job. Well, it turns out that the Thermostat housing at the top front of my ol' 3F was corroded to (bleep) and the shop cant seem to get the part (tho of course they said they had great suppliers for Toyota land Cruisers when I agreed to use them. But it is a strange beast and I have to cut them a little slack.

Cruiser Outfitters said it should be Toyota part number 16303-61010 and is listed as part fo the current catalog (not discontinued)

Where can I find this part for my 3F equipped FJ75 in Colorado? (I have located it on Parts Souk, in case..)

Best and thanks!

Thanks All for the feedback! I've got the order in at PartsSouk (you're right, they were crazy-fast last time!?!) and also have an email out to Cruiserparts.net as well to see if I get lucky stateside. If I end up with a spare I'll post it up for my 3F tractormoto compadres! The dang thing does run great, just needs some cooling relief before i'm comfortable hitting the long haul with my son along.
Just an aside to the 70's rollers here in CO. Called Slee for service and they said nope to doing 70series work. Is there a mechanic/shop you've had good experience with in the area? Would love not to have to go to SLC for shop support, tho' I hear they're solid ;) All the best!

@PabloCruise can help me if I'm wrong, but I believe @mcguirejohnson works on cruisers and has Nelsons Automotive in Ft. Collins. he owns a 12HT powered cruiser 60 series on an 80 series frame.

Soooo... This is interesting... No Toyota dealer parts house in the US has it, and Parts Souk just told me that thier Toyota supplier is delayed and refurbishing their facility so they can't promise me anything will ship before the 28th of July (if that..) Oh, and heads up: next week is Eid so they will be on holiday (which I fuly support. Eid Mubarak to our Muslim friends!)

Anyone here want to 'rent' me one untill mine comes in? :bang::rofl:

Just for Sh!ts and giggles, I'm making a run to Yota Jims to see if I get lucky. Feel free to join me there, it's always entertaining!

I just don’t have your touch I guess😅 The three I tried could not find one.. But in the spirit of learn/earning my way into this furry cabal, I did find this on an early hulking 80series with the 3FE..

it sure is ‘modern’ with ports to plug, but it may get my by for the moment?
Yota Jim’s FTW😝

Kilkenny Castings in South Australia are making reproduction thermostat housings for older models including the carbed 3F

Thanks! those look smick but may be too much for my current state of affairs ;) All the best to you in Perth!

There is 1 in the US. Any Toyota dealer should be able to procure.
Thank you Onur! I just tried McGeorge's site again and completed the order! (when I tried the other day something wasn't working, probably on my end. So, we'll see if I get a shipping confirmation, and not a 'backordered' notice post purchase like the other Toyota OEM Parts Online vendor.. Thank you for your expertise.

Well g'dang.....here is the response from McGeorge Toyota this morning:
"Hi,
Part number 16303-61010 is on a large national back order. This component could take us weeks, if not months, to acquire from Toyota once an order is placed before the order would be shipped out to you. Would you like to proceed or would you like for us to cancel/refund the order?
Thank you. "

Crossing my fingers that Parts Souk comes thru by the end of the month per their stated ship by date

The OEM versions could get hard to find soon. This one looks legit. Seems to have 4 for sale
Thanks! I'll keep that in case! I do have one on order from Parts Souk that is supposed to ship by the 28th. I think they are also in Dubai.
Cheers
