Saw this fj75(?) today. Good looking truck but looks to be a hodge podge of parts. Owner says its a 93 from venezuala. 1fzfe 5 speed. The bed lines dont match the cab lines though. Whats the bed from?

Guessing a domestically produced 45/47 PB from a Cab/Chassis import?

Edit: I think @hosis right, early factory 75 longbed with the flatter sides.

Hello,

That bed is a Venezuela spec one.

75 and 79 Series assembled in Venezuela had that bed.

Either the plant in Venezuela modified the 40 Series bed or came up with its own design.

Quite likely, that 75 Series has a Dana rear axle.

This is known as a CKD (Complete Knock Down) kit. Most factory parts come from Japan but many are local (Venezuela).... like the bed, interior, rear axle, etc. The bed you posted is from 1993 and the bed I posted is from 2007. Not sure when they stopped doing the CKD's in Venezuela but in 2018, they were still doing them in Portugal and Kenya.

that thing would look good on the back half of my fj55...

Hello,

On a closer look, that 75 Series has a 79 Series drive train. The wheels have five lug nuts, instead of six.

I wonder what else is lurking inside.
