I've got two rivets on either side of my hood from a previous owner. What would someone have used these for in the past? Anyone have pictures of 40's with stuff mounted on the hood?

I'm intrigued and interested to throw something on the hood....Just cause the holes are already there. Ha!

Since nothing appears to be mounted on the outside my guess is they were there to hold a hood blanket in place.
