Ok, so i'm getting tried of running to friends shop try to squeeze in my small projects. I really would like to be able to get some of the small stuff done at home. I don't think CNC machine is in the cards yet, but what other tools/machines can I substitute for a CNC machine.

What tools would i need to be able to get most things done?

Thanks guys!

Five tools I use the most:

1) Welder (220 volt Lincoln Buzz Box)
2) Grinder (Multiple Harbor Freight grinders with grinding wheels, flap disks, etc on them)
3) Metal Bandsaw (another Harbor Freight special)
4) Sawzall with a metal blade
5) Drill press

With those 5 tools you can do just about anything. There's some that you could combine, such as using a grinder with a cut-off wheel rather than a sawzall or a bandsaw.
