that trailer and stove set up is totally sweet.

my new fuel pump is in, trailer is completely done including adding 2 leaves back into the springs, repairing some snaps on the tonneau cover, then some little odds n ends on the 40 finished up. I will test the load up tomorrow and start packing!

We'll find out really quick if my camping stove mount is going to survive...

Is that supposed to stay where it is, or does it get put in the trailer when moving?

I am putting it in the trailer and the hitch carrier folds up vertical. It would be easier to leave it on the back, but I don't think it will survive the big ledges (if there are any).

agreed. there should be some big ledge drops from the pics I've seen. good thinking.:D

What is/are our repeater channels up there?

Who all is going to be at the north portal at 9:00 Friday morning?

Final roll call:

Steve H. (4RUNNER)
Steve L. (4RUNNER)

First time I'll have a 2nd 3rd gen 4runner along on the ride:p

Also looks like the struts might show up tomorrow, slap em in and we're good! So much for the repair....practice for trail repairs:flipoff2:

When I tested the locker I discovered that since I left the sway bar off when I put in the new axle I get more flex, which means rubbing again. Oh well, tin snip time...

:bang:

Definitely good to be running with another Prado though.

BTW, Keun is out, and my brother Rick is riding his KLR650.

I've read that it's best to keep the rear sway hooked up on the trail and just disconnect the front...never had problem with the rear flexing even with the OME HD rear springs!:meh:

I was thinking more a permansnt thing, and keeping the front connected helps with emergency moves. I was wondering about squishing my exhaust pipe though... Will have to look at it tomorrow. Maybe some longer bumpstops.

I will meet at North portal. Sinbad in Utah. Monticello repeater. It should be in your radio but I don't have freq handy. I will post if I find it

anyone meeting at the portal willing to pull my 'little' 40 trailer? it would save me setting up to triple tow it.
it only weighs about 500lbs and has tongue weight of about 50lbs. I can leave it empty and load it at the meeting place w/ Beno. it only takes about 10 mins. to load.

edit- I know you 80 guys get bad mileage, so I can throw some gas $ to you.;)

I could do it. Actually we will be reshuffling too because Tim is hauling Rick's KLR650 in the back of his Tacoma, so some of my load could go in it. If you don't need the room in it for the trip up, I could get it today.

P.S. will pull for beer...

... I don't have them in my radio. thanks.

I copied my radio setup for Steve so that is why I said the frequencies should be in his radio (if he hasn't had to reset it).

I have a bolt on hitch designed for light loads that I can throw in the truck if needed. I think it has a 1-7/8" ball but I might have a 2" somewhere. My trailer wiring uses the 4-pin flat style. I think it is one of the standard wiring harnesses because it worked on my trash hauling trailer.

Let me know if you think this would be compatible.
