Yep, best wheeling trip *I* have ever been on. Truly Epic. Thanks especially to Lurch for having the half shaft and showing me how to change it (and everybody else who had tools and help on it), and Onur for leading the trip, and lots of other thanks as well.

I got back thinking that now I've "been there and done that", but even now I'm thinking about next time... Hats off to the first people who did it!

It was a great trip with excellent weather. Thanks to everyone that made this another good HDC multi-day trip and special thanks to Onur for organizing everything. It seems like a thankless job but we all appreciate how stressful it can be.

So my GPS crashed. Who has the route we made?

Mike,

It's time to fix your winch so get going ......

Great pics!

Was the Rincon Spur trail open to the water?

Mike,

It's time to fix your winch so get going ......

Why? I didn't need it and you only come on the 1-rated trails.

:flipoff2:

It was but we did not have time to head down.

Good to know. Gonna have to hit it when it is warm and get some water time in.

Feel free to join us in early-mid May when the Norcal crew comes out to run it. We spend 4 days or so on HITR.

I'm still running it this year during the winter. Way finding in the snow is indeed fun.

Tell me the dates and I will see if it can work.

Dang it!
I've been on that trail twice and have yet to finish it.
Once with HDC and once on my bike.
One of these times...

Can't let this thread die! I'm thinking camp a little way in on the trail the first night, at the end the second night, hike down to the lake and back the second day, stay at the end campground that night, then drive out the third day. Probly not in the snow though...
