Actually Alvin it looks like you were on my "80-line"...more to the right of the obstacle. That's a good line. I'll bet you would have made it up with less wildness than my 100-line. Because of approach angle I had to come in more on the left with the driver's side higher off the ground in the 100. This causes that huge 5' wheellift. You'd a not done this. Next time.


I think what makes that obstacle a beehatch is the boulder in front of it. It really limits your choices on approach angles. But thats what wheeling is all about, dealing with what Ma Nature gives you.
 
hopefully with me anyways its knowing almost everything i say is sarcasm, rude sometimes, mean sometimes, but i cant help it.

ohh and since your here, i understand the different lines with the differnt rigs, but have you tried either with the other??

The 2 times I've tried that in the '93 I made it without spotting because the truck's smaller and I not worry about bumpers. I still lift the front wheel. On the "80 line" though your rear wheel dumps into that deep crack more and it can take a bit to climb out of it. Hopefully you don't get sideways.

Yes. That's the other main reason I needed spotting in the 100. Didn't want to mangle the ARB bumper.
 
I've got to give Shotts some kudos. He's known for 'beating the horse way beyond death', but lately he's really dialed the rhetoric down, even after being purposely baited several times. My friend, your restraint has been noted!

have you ever wheeled a short wheelbase? lifting tires is a most common occurrence ;)
