Agree. In college I would take a pound of ground meat, season it and brown it, then mix it in with the Mac and cheese. Ate that stuff regularly.
 
Our kids loved Kraft - it was a stock item on the grocery list. Tyler's in Starkville has a great pepper-jack version they do as a side on the blue plates
 
Hers: roasted garlic naan (crust), dash of sauce, hot Italian sausage, Roma toms, live basil, fresh mozz

His: more of everything plus goat cheese

Pork belly breakfast slider...

PB's brined in salt, diced onion, diced apple, cumin seeds, pepper corns, smashed garlic cloves, brown sugar, maple...

Then rubbed with a Memphis-BBQ-ish style rub with extra cumin & chili powder added, and smoked (temps were too high, cooked too fast, but still good) with lump & apple wood chunks...

Sliced & panfried to crisp & render more of the fat...

Piled on a biscuit & topped with smoked gouda and fresh guac...

Nice! Haven't tried one of those yet. Taste like bacon?
 
Its a cross between bacon and other fatty pork cuts, flavor and texture-wise.

This definitely deserves further experimentation. I flubbed up the temps and cooked too hot and quick, but it was still delicious.
