I bought it for my wife when she moved in here from France (2002) from a couple in Orange County who used it to go to their cottage in Big Bear on the weekends. We're moving back to France and the FJ60 isn't coming with us.
Wife used it as a driver in the 2000's, then bought a Prius. Now it is used rarely.
Maintained by Jim Dickey before he passed, and California Carburetor.
263k miles, runs excellent. Replaced head-line, carpet, and installed insulation below carpet. Plenty of engine work over the years with all documentation, including new oversize radiator, amongst many upgrades and replacements.
When 2020 registration renewal rolled around couldn't get parts required to pass smog. Wasn't driving her, so just left it. Didn't non-op her, CA DMV fees are $700 if you plan to keep her in California. Start her regularly and spin her around the bloc. Bought the parts, bought never got around to installing, including oil sending unit and speedometer cable.
We live by the beach so there is a some rust on the front pillars and front doors. I can send pictures if needed.
