If you can wait an extra day or two for shipping get a “Tucson Alternators” model. They ship overnight and have like twice the output of a factory one. Really wish I had done that when I had mine replaced last summer.

@r2m has one and runs a 3kw inverter off of it.
Yup, have had it, probably over 5 years now and no issues. They are a little weird about ordering. They'll want a picture of your license to confirm shipping, payment or something like that if I remember right. BUT they are legit.
Is it a straight swap? Or do I need to change the fuse as well?
I believe it's a straight swap. I had my shop do it this time. I did use a Tucson Alternator on my 100 series and did it myself and the only issue I had on that was that it's slightly larger in diameter and required a little more grunt to get it to fit. But again, that was on my 100 series.
I don't think there were any issues with fuses, but give them a call and they can tell you.

@MantaproXT11 You've inspired me to get my s*** together on my mud protection. $25 on Amazon.

Will you do a WTITW's video? :bounce::bounce2:
Porobably not but trying to do more this summer. Working on a new Auxbeam script now. I dropped their GX-bicolor LED's in my DRL/highbeams and LOVE them. I don't think I'll be using my light bar this summer. Also, on coming traffic hates me now : ) I'll probably shift towards off-road trailer content as that niche isn't well represented on YT and I'm spending most of my project time on it now.

Can't afford now, but would love to get one of those Smitty Built adventure trailers to put my RTT on. When we're base camping, a RTT gets to be a headache whenever you drive somewhere away from camp.
We have a huge 9 day camping trip with a large group of family up in Huntington Lake (upper Sierra's) and we're always going to the beach, hiking trails or driving on trails into the interior of the Sierra's, all the while keeping our base camp by the lake.

So definitely need a new alternator. I think the high output is a bit too much for what I need. I'm thinking of sticking oem. But maybe the sequoia part, since it does offer a bit more amps. Thanks for the tips. Following your build since I joined.

Ended up replacing the alternator at a shop. Went with oem. For some weird reason, she just doesn't feel quite right,.... the sound, the feel, the drive....
Did they crack your radiator shroud?

That happened to mine during or immediately after a major repair. Its pretty common on the 100s series. I plan on addressing it over the summer with some plastic weld.
