Gentlemen,
I'm looking for volunteers to be a recovery vehicle back-up for
a delivery of firewood to a remote site 3 miles north of Madrid.
This Sunday from 9:am to 3:pm
The road to the site is narrow, steep, and with rain we've been getting could be a challenge getting back out. The drive is not graveled, and has a lot of clay.
A couple of rigs to remain at the top of the drive with winchs & straps could be a huge help. Pizza and beer as the currency of choice for payment!

Thanks
James:cheers:

I can't pass up a chance to get stuck. I'm free.

Oh, this sounds like fun...will be recovering bunch of bread trucks? :)...hee hee....

I'm a maybe.

firewood delivery adventure

Gentlemen,

Wow! great response:)

A good ron-de-vou spot would be "downtown" Madrid.
Should be easy to spot from there, just look for an 80 with
a lumber yard in tow!! ETA by 10:00am. CB ch. 40

I don't know the name of the place, but it's that rowdy bar where all the bikers gather, on the right just as you get into town, coming up from the south on hwy 14.
With such a strong interest in playing in the mud lets pray/hope/dance for more rain.:bounce:

Thanks
James:beer:

Damn--wish I could make it....gotta go into work early this Sunday.

The rowdy bar sounds like a perfect place for me to get into trouble too with older women missing teeth!

Good luck gents and have fun.

trailer adventure

Gentlemen,

In the imortal words of Rosann Rosanna Danna, "Never mind"

I took a load of wood, w/o the trailer, to the site today out of curiosity regarding the road condition. Dry as a box of cotton. For all of the rain here on this side of the range I was guessing/hoping for something kinda fun over there. My apologies for calling out the
team. Everybody is more than welcome to come up, but the
rescue mission has been scrubbed. If anybody is interested in
a tour and explaination of the kiln and why it takes so much wood, come on up.

James

You might see me...who knows...never seen much in that area.

Ali, let me know if you go up. I don't know Madrid that well, but Jemez it not that far (decent scenery for an hour/half or so from burque). Would not mind checking out that part of NM. Easy wheeling but nice views for NM (nothing compared to the pics of your Silverton pics).

Yeah, I'll be there at 9am at the Mine Shaft unless James wants us somewhere else.

Ali

Ali,

Don't know why I think of it earlier, but I know some guys that work for me that might be interested with some extra work for your landscaping. It would be cheaper than hiring a contractor. PM me or give me a call (259-3169).

Intresting seeing that kiln today. Thanks again for the pointers of welding.

Anytime you want to go down to the lake and drive the duece and a half, let me know.

Rudy

Rudy,

Thanks for the info. PM (private message) me for future chat. Will call you.

Thanks for lunch on Sunday!
