Awesome Dennis!! Looking forward to actually checking out your 45… SAS came and went so fast I did not get a chance… but always rubbernecked it when you drove by!!

And thank your Lovely Wife!!

I am looking forward to it and I will let her know.

I am a Maybe for this event. We are coming back from Colorado that Fri afternoon. 8-30-24.
I will try to bring my GX, if I can get unpacked that Friday evening. If there's no spots left, I can park anywhere in Cerrillos.
I'm in Rio rancho, so I will take the dirt road , 301, shortcut from I 25, exit 259, to Madrid area, instead of driving around the Sandias.
Thanks for getting this event going.

I’d take exit 267 for Waldo Canyon, dumps you right into Cerrillos and it’s a nice dirt road.

Yep, Been that way , too., probably go back home that way. So I can do the entire, infamous, mostly dirt, WALDO/Madrid Loop Rd. :steer:
If I find Waldo, out there, I'll let Ali know;)

Does Waldo look like this??:zilla: or this? 👾

Haha… you will see this 🦖 in Cerrillos!
Haha…

Waldo is a place on Waldo Road 😉

I’m interested in some wheeling and perhaps camping out after the show.

If we can make it we'll be driving my newly refreshed '93 4Runner V6 4WD. I'm taking it in for an alignment in Santa Fe Friday morning at Jon's Alignment, then a couple of new tires at Discount Tire in the afternoon. Spending the night in Santa Fe, then to the farmers market early in the morning before heading down to Cerrillos. We'll let you know if it works out.

Maybe we can get our youngest son to drive down from Santa Fe in his '23 4Runner. Good comparison of technology over a 30-year span. His '23 replaced my '93 that he "borrowed" from us from 2002 until 2023.

We were hoping to see your 60, John…

FYI:
The Fiestas kick off at 10:00 with a parade, those who want to be in it are welcome otherwise we will have the vehicles parked before the parade to lessen the chaos.

Classics will be parked up front and then we will trickle down to the newer models if we have room, which we should.

We have 23 acres of land so anyone interested in camping are welcome to. We will get a feeling on whether we wheel after the car show or Sunday morning. If you wanna come to wheel with us, let me know and I’ll keep you in the loop.

We have only done a little exploring where we are wheeling so we need to explore more and see what’s out there. There are miles and miles of trails to be explored. I’ll drop a pin at the mouth of where we will play. My brother has 10 acres that bump up to National Forest so we may or may not end up there, no house yet as he is a new owner of the land.

We are looking forward to this gathering of cool classic cruisers and pickups!!

I'm interested in exploring Glorieta mesa too. I see it on maps but there doesn't seem to be much to see on those maps and I've wondered were good access points are. Plus, I've been wondering how good/bad it is for wood cutting permits. I just can't participate in this specific event due to another commitment.

@Mesa Woman sorry to be a ghost I’m 90% sure I’ll have the crawler reassembled for Saturday. It’d be good to run it around some before Farmington later in the week. So I may be good for a camp and explore Sunday.

Yay!! It would be fun to hang and wheel with you!
Dylan will have his truck there… he’s not done as much as he would have liked to but he is able to drive it to work.

We plan to check it out more and we can camp out at my brothers, he’s right there at the mouth, there is actually a road to his back gate from the National Forest. It’s over grown so we have to do a little work but then we could just go out his back gate on to the trails!
I’ll post next time we go. Weather is looking good for this run but we will for sure play in the fall out there before it gets too cold.

@mesa man, our boyz and I are getting excited… we were playing this morning and lined up our collection…
40 years of Toyotas!!
Missing the 2002 RAV4.

That is a good collection. That 80 is beast in comparison to the others.

I know!! The names we have come up with for the 80, lol. It’s not gonna be beast.
Betty is sounding for the big girl!

We just got her last week! Gonna be our SAS9 trail rig… time to learn to wheel that big girl!
