This will be on snow or shine. My plan is to pull Ryan's truck in to my garage to work on it.

Edit: Unless Ryan cancels. :p

I drove up from savannah GA today for this, no way I am canceling!

Stump, please being the knuckle parts. I am buying the gear oil for the front diff now.

See you guys tomorrow!

All right, I'm bringing all my tools for doing the knuckles, including snip ring pliers brass drift, brass hammer, BFH, hub socket, torque wrenches, impact gun, fish scale.

Who has the FSM?

Job Done! Ryan now has new rear rotors and pads and a fully serviced front axle and new front brake pads.

Thanks to Patrick for hosting. Thanks to Ryan for providing the project. Thanks to Steve and Eduardo for helping out.

Everyone pitched in and we had a great system going that made relatively quick work of an otherwise lengthy and messy job.

Good luck in San Dog, Ryan!

Cheers,
Stump

AND I may have even learned something!

Thanks again to Patrick, Mike, Steve and Eduardo. If anyone passes through SD don't hesitate to look me up! I hope to see some of you Flagstaff for the Overland Expo.

Ryan

Brakes are working great. When I left there was a slight rubbing noise coming from the passenger side rear (it may have been from both sides) but it stopped before I got home and it hasn't happened again. I didn't feel any resistance and there was no odor. I looked and nothing jumped out at me. Thoughts?

Also, I was looking at CDI torque wrenches, should I go with 1/2 or 3/8" drive?

Proof that it happened!

Or possibly the parking brake shoes since I adjusted them pretty tight.

If you can only get 1 I'd get the 1/2 inch drive. You can get 1/2 inch drive sockets down to 10mm. 3/8 drive for an in/lbs when you're ready for it.

Concur... check out Amazon. There are some good reviews there.

They're on my tool box now but not sure where they started. I'll bring them to the next meeting.
