Ih8mud has gone communist. You can only delete in chat Romer. That's a slap in the face. I should at least have control of my own content.

You do, you can still edit any/all your posts (minus the thread title), you just can't delete others content.
I don't want to edit my post I want to delete it. We used to be able to do that. Again it's totally lame IMHO. If someone is upset that their post got deleted they should start their own thread.
You can essentially delete your post, just edit it and erase everything in it. IMHO it's totally lame when there is thread with lots of people's input into a subject, and then all their useful info is deleted by one person.
I'll bet if there is a good reason, you could pm a mod and have the thread deleted.
I noticed that the "delete" option was removed, I really think that the members should be able to remove ther posts,and/or threads. Some of us did buy a star we should be able to ajust/delete it should not be just mods option to remove the posts. I will use the edit to delete posts that I want to remove since WE no longer have the right to delete our posts.
Example 1:
you post: "i need help"
another nice poster posts: "4-5 paragraphs, explaining how to fix the issue you are having with your rig, taking the time to answer all your questions"
you then delete the thread, cause your problem is fixed...however, no one else in the forum can gain from the knowledge anymore...
Example 2:
you post: "my xyz is for sale"
15-20 posts later, it sells, so you delete the thread....
another poster comes in with a similar xyz and wants to sell it, but no longer has your thread available to research for pricing...
Chat is exempt from it, you can still delete there. There are times i wish more was

maybe it's out there but even in searching i've hardly ever seen a thread that had such relevant info that it was only in ONE thread, and then someone when on to delete it. It would come back up again. I don't think people willy nilly delete their theads all the time but it is nice to remove your own thread when things turn south.
IMHO you shoud be able to delete a for sale wanted in that $ change over time. THe last one that sold 5 years back shouldn't have any relevance, etc. etc. Although sometimes helpful to reference It's not that difficult to put a dollar on an item.

those "hardly ever" situation have had folks get upset that they spent time answering only to have the thread removed.
if they "go south" then the mod/admin's should be asked to step in and get things "more north"
